Jennifer Lawrence is opening up about why she fell for her fiancé Cooke Maroney. While she is all kind words for her better half, the Oscar-winning actress revealed she wasn't ready to get married just yet. "I just met Cooke and I wanted to marry him".
"He's the greatest human being I've ever met", Lawrence gushed of Maroney, a 34-year-old art gallery director. And he gets better. News reporter Catt Sadler's podcast Naked with Catt Sadler, the Oscar victor shared new details about her ultra-private relationship with Maroney and her wedding planning process.
'It's just, this is the one, I know that sounds really stupid but he's just the greatest person I've ever met, so I feel very honoured to become a Maroney. "I didn't know that I wanted a bachelorette party.' I guess I just feel pathetic", she recalled.
"I feel like I got to know myself in the past year", she said.
"I don't know, I started with the basics", the actress, 28, continued, when asked why she chose to marry him. He's my best friend, so I want to legally bind him to me forever.
The actress said she isn't feeling nervous about her big day because she's "too lazy to be neurotic" and revealed she has already found both her dress and wedding venue. I'm like too lazy to be neurotic. "I saw a dress I liked and I was like, 'That's the dress.' I saw a venue and I was like, 'Cool, we got the venue'".
Lawrence said: "I've been in a good place. It's the greatest. You find your favourite person on the planet, you're like: 'You can't leave'".
Jen is actually taking pride in the fact that wedding planning is going smoothly, but she said she had one "bridezilla" moment.
"Yesterday was my only bridezilla moment where I cried, because I thought I didn't want to have bachelorette party, and then last minute I decided I did", she explained.
"There were just certain things, like, 'Oh, I can't do that.' And then the past year, I've just been doing all of that..." I was like, 'I don't even know why I'm crying.
Jennifer's longest relationship was with her co-star Nicholas Hoult, 29; the couple were together on and off for five years after they met on the set of X-Men First Class in 2010. I didn't know that I wanted a bachelorette party. [Cooke] was like, "Oh my god, you don't need to feel pathetic"'.
Reports in the U.S. say they were introduced by Lawrence's friend Laura Simpson.
