Katy Perry and Taylor Swift's notorious feud is pretty much old news by now - remember the (literal) olive branch Katy sent Tay a year ago? - but their reconciliation has just reached sweet new heights. The geotag on the picture read "Let's Be Friends" - leading to fans speculating that an upcoming duet between the former rivals could be called Peace at Last or Let's Be Friends. On top of that, the phrase "peace at last" is written in frosting on the plate of cookies.
Now, however, according to Perry's latest Instagram post, the feud is over.
In 2014, in an interview with Rolling Stone, Swift explained the drama behind her song Bad Blood.
She said she had given her blessing for the dancers to join Swift's tour and advised them she was going on tour later and they should put something in their contracts to be able to leave if they wanted to rejoin her. "I was like, "Oh, we're just straight-up enemies". It had to do with business.
The two stars were once friends, but then they had a falling out. Taylor accused Katy of trying to "sabotage an entire arena tour" when she tried to hire her dancers. And I'm surprisingly non-confrontational - you would not believe how much I hate conflict. "It's awkward, and I don't like it".
Katy responded to the magazine comments the day after the story was published online, tweeting: "Watch out for the Regina George (catty Mean Girls character) in sheep's clothing..."
The pair have been on the mend for some time now, with Swift revealing via Instagram story past year that Perry had sent her an "olive branch" ahead of the first night of her Reputation tour.
