Irving is set to be one of the top free agents on the market and certainly the best point guard available.

After a disappointing and anger-filled 2018-19 National Basketball Association season with the Boston Celtics, Kyrie Irving is slated to become an unrestricted free agent for the first time in his career. While Kevin Durant and Kawhi Leonard are the two players most well-equipped to turn squads into championship contenders overnight, the most fascinating free agency might belong to Kyrie Irving.

According to Steve Bulpett of the Boston Herald, some teams who had interest in signing Irving as a free agent are said to be "more wary" of doing so now.

"Two teams for certain are telling people they will only go after him if they land another marquee free agent and that player says he wants Irving", continues the article.

- As Bulpett notes, the Celtics never believed Irving's preseason pronouncement that he planned to re-sign was binding, and they assumed the season would help determine his future.

Regardless of where he goes, it might take some teams getting past where they are right now with Irving. Boston swept the Indiana Pacers in the first round of the playoffs and everyone in Beantown was starting to get excited about their team after the Celtics won Game 1 against the Bucks in Milwaukee.

- Even if some teams are having second thoughts about Irving, you can bet the New York Knicks (and the Brooklyn Nets) aren't.
