Yesterday, we have reported that the Xiaomi's Group Vice President, Lu Weibing, confirmed Redmi flagship smartphone bearing Snapdragon 855 SoC will be called as Redmi K20 and the same was found listed on one of the Chinese retailers, revealing its key specifications.
Xiaomi recently confirmed to launch the flagship Redmi smartphones under the new K-series. However, in his congratulatory tweet, he informed OnePlus and the world that a new flagship "in town". The Poco F1 was undoubtedly Xiaomi's first flagship killer offering top-tier performance in a mid-range budget, while also massively undercutting the OnePlus 6T (the then considered flagship killer). "Hold my dragon! - at Xiaomi India". However, there were no clear indication regarding when these smartphones will make their way into the country.
We have been coming across teasers regarding these phones for the past few weeks but it is only now that the India Head has revealed a seemingly official confirmation about the first Redmi smartphone with the most powerful Qualcomm chipset till date. Xiaomi also mentioned the Redmi K20 to support Android Q Beta 3 update out of the box. If the Redmi K20 offers a flagship processor at an affordable price point, is there still room for yet another Pocophone?
"It was speculated that this new flagship will feature a 6.39" Full HD+ display and it will come with a triple-camera setup consisting of a 48MP + 8MP + 13MP combo. On the front, the smartphone will carry a 20-megapixels selfie camera. We have even heard that the Redmi K20 would sport a pop-up selfie camera and there has also been a video leak to support the claim. Other connectivity options include VoLTE, WiFi, WiFi hotspot, Bluetooth, and Dual Nano SIM with dual standby.
