Hoda Kotb's got her another sweetpea and she's as happy as can be!
"Today" show host Hoda Kotb has welcomed another daughter.
"I can't believe it", Kotb said through tears over the phone. Shout out your congrats to Kotb and her growing family in the comments section (below)!
Along with having the mom of two on by phone this morning, TODAY shared some pics of the TV personality and her family (like the one at the top of this post), and also put together a couple of adorable video segments on the adoption and the new baby. Hope Catherine joins 2-year-old sister Haley Joy.
"Every night before I put her down, I always say to her, 'You know what my favorite time of the day is?' And I would just say, 'Right now, '" Kotb shared. And it's the closest thing to a live birth I think you'll ever see.
Kotb said she and her longtime partner, Joel Schiffman, were there when the baby was born.
Shortly after the adoption of Kotb's first daughter, Haley, she opened up about her hard journey to motherhood.
"I think sometimes you think either I can't ... or, I waited too long, or circumstances didn't intend for me, and I should be grateful to have this life, and why would I ask for something more?"
In March, Hoda couldn't help but gush over her boyfriend of six years.
"I was afraid to even say it out loud, because then it felt so real", Kotb said. "And we have been telling her 'baby Hope is coming.' She literally walked up to her, looked up at her, and she goes, 'Hope.' It was like one of those moments", Hoda said.
