OnePlus CEO reveals details about its upcoming OnePlu TV, which marks company entry into TV market. He has given quite a few on-point leaks about the Pixel 3 and OnePlus a year ago. We also heard earlier today that the phone may well be launching on 14th May, but since that information came from a reputed leaker we can't be sure it's definitely the case. According to a report by Repubblica.it, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau said that folding screens do have potential, but not in phones, not with the current technology. As per the leaks, OnePlus 7 will have a complete edge-to-edge display panel, inspired by the Vivo V15 Pro and Oppo F11 Pro. The company already announced a 5G prototype smartphone at this year's MWC event.
He has also shared some launch teaser image for OnePlus 7 Pro which also reveals the tagline for OnePlus 7 series, which is "Go Beyond Speed". On the other hand, OnePlus 7 Pro 5G will sport Snapdragon X50 5G modem backed by what we could expect a decent 4,000-ish mAh battery since every smartphone with 5G launched this year has a large battery pack to provide backup to the latest high-speed 5G network. The same features are expected on the standard OnePlus 7 model too.
The OnePlus 7 India launch will happen soon after the global launch, maybe within a couple of days. That variant of the phone will probably be considerably more expensive than the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro.
Recently the company brought its special OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition to the country running on 10GB RAM and Warp Charge.
According to Lau, company wanted to expand its business to other sectors, so, company made a decision to bring smart TV into market.
