Jurgen Klopp explains his plan to stop Eden Hazard on Sunday

Liverpool sit two points clear at the top of the Premier League from Manchester City, but Pep Guardiola's men can return to the summit by winning their game in hand.

"We only try to collect as many points as possible". Four games to play.

"And if that's enough, then flawless". If it's not we can not change it. "Only weak people and idiots bring something like this up".

"We see it game by game".

Jurgen Klopp claimed that Liverpool laid the ghost of Steven Gerrard's fateful slip against Chelsea to rest by beating the Blues 2-0 at Anfield to move back to the top of the Premier League.

"But they are such a hard side to play against".

At one point in the second half, Chelsea failed to convert a risky attack sparked by a similar slip from Andy Robertson, and Klopp claimed the incident should draw a line under Gerrard's error.

Mane scored from an excellent header after Jordan Henderson put it on a T, while Salah wrapped things up for the Reds with an awesome long range strike.

Eden Hazard had two golden opportunities to get Chelsea back into the game but spurned them both.

Hazard beat Alisson Becker in a one-on-one only for his shot to rebound off the post before firing a first-time, close-range shot straight at the goalkeeper when he seemed certain to score, with Higuain also missing a chance soon after.

The goals came in two consecutive second-half minutes, firstly from Sadio Mane before a superb Mo Salah strike put his side two ahead.

After the second goal - a shocking goal in a good way for them, but not for us - we reacted.

"But I am really happy with the performance because we stayed in the match very well. We are improving. Three months ago, we were not able to stay in the match".
