WhatsApp went down earlier this morning, as fans flooded rival social media sites saying the app isn't working. Europe, the United States and parts of Asia appear to be the worst hit locations.
The issue seems to have spread worldwide with users across the US, India, Europe, and Asia taking to Twitter to raise the issue.
Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram were all inaccessible for hours last month, and it wasn't until over 24 hours later that Facebook finally gave the all clear.
The outage tracking website showed that there are more than 9000 incidents of people reporting issues with Facebook.
Another said: "Whatsapp, Facebook, and Instagram all down".
The Facebook website is unreachable, while users on Instagram, which is also owned by Facebook, "couldn't refresh feed" messages.
Facebook has yet to comment on the outage.
