St. Patrick's Day is officially on Sunday, but two parades are planned for Saturday in Oklahoma City.
More than 470 landmarks in 56 countries, ranging from museums and towers to statues and stadiums, are being illuminated in green to coincide with the Irish national day.
The landmarks include such world-famous sites like the Great Wall of China, the Leaning Tower of Pisa and the Sydney Opera House.

This event is staged by the Nottingham St Patrick's Day Committee through a programme of year-round fundraising.
The annual Global Greening initiative by Tourism Ireland started in 2010 and topping this year's new additions list is the Burj Khalifa in Dubai -the world's tallest building.
The O'city parade route is a change from past year when it was located in Bricktown. The event is supported by Nottingham City Council and the Government of Ireland.
Last year, more than 10 million overseas visitors made a trip to Ireland.
