Former "American Idol" contestant Antonella Barba was working as a courier for a major drug ring and was trying to deliver almost 2 pounds of the deadly synthetic opioid fentanyl when she was arrested in Virginia past year, according to new reports. She's set to appear in court Monday.
According to a report, former "American Idol" contestant Antonella Barba was arrested in Virginia this past week and was charged with distributing heroin.
In addition to this federal indictment, Barba is also facing charges in a felony marijuana case in Kansas. They also noted that she was hit with one count of attempting to distribute over 100 grams of heroin.
In September 2018, Isaac gave about a kilo of heroin and about 4 kilos of cocaine to an unnamed conspirator for additional distribution, the indictment said. Her state drug-dealing charges were dropped.
Her other TV and film credits include "Fear Factor" and the 2017 movie "All About the Money".
For those unaware, Barba was a contestant on the show in 2007 and made it to the top 16 contestants.
