Once v7.40 releases, players will gain access to new Overtime Challenges.
While many were surely excited to see new challenges to complete, the biggest news of all came at the end of the announcement post when Epic Games announced new competitive series that will come with the event. Completing the challenges will unlock five new rewards, such as the Valentine wrap and Vines contrail.
There's also going to be two double XP weekends leading up to the end of Season 5, on running from February 15th to 17th, and the other from the 22nd to the 24th. Upgrading the pass will reward the player, as well as existing Battle Pass owners, with new unlockable styles for the Trog, Powder and Onesie outfits.
Once the event is underway, players who support a Creator or enter a Creator Code will receive the Cuddle Hearts wrap for free. Don't worry, we're keeping track.
Fortnite is getting romantic this month in the Share the Love event. With the new season, a new Fortnite Battle Pass will be available which will let you have access to new exclusive skins and emotes. Epic will rotate a new set of featured islands in the mode each day between February 12 and 22.
Several placement matches will be run on the weekend of 9 and 10 February, and the top performing players will be placed directly into the higher divisions. Show your support by jumping into Creative each day and playing with friends. If you progress to that last tier and earn a pin, you'll get a spot in the finals on February 23 and 24. Competition will be separated across four different divisions that will run simultaneously every day, starting with Open Division, moving into Prospect Division, then Contender Division, and finally, Champion Division. These islands will showcase the overall creativity of the community, so you won't want to miss out on experiencing them for yourself.
Players will unlock the next division by earning a pin during any daily session.
Fortnite Season 7 is approaching its end, and fans are looking forward to the upcoming 8th season.
