Earlier this week, ESPN reported that one of the trade packages the Lakers offered to the New Orleans Pelicans in exchange for Anthony Davis included Ball, along with Kyle Kuzma, Brandon Ingram, Josh Hart and Ivica Zubac. Coincidentally, that means Lonzo Ball is still with the team and he's ecstatic about it.
Additionally, he said that if his son does get traded out to the Pelicans, he'll "sit out" the games in protest of the trade. That means the Lakers and LeBron James will have to kiss and make up with almost half their team. Zo was expected to miss 4-6 weeks with the nasty-looking ankle injury so he still has at least a couple weeks of recovery ahead of him before returning to the floor.
Ball shared a video on his Instagram story of him playing the Puff Daddy song "Bad Boy for Life", which includes the lyrics, "we ain't going nowhere".
When host Shannon Sharpe suggested to Ball that Lonzo's not the best player on the Lakers, he responded, "Are you insane?" "They're all going to struggle if Lonzo's not there".
Sharpe was quick to ask, "Are you saying Lonzo is better than LeBron?"
