However, those of us who remained faithful to the pair's hilarious Hatfields and McCoys routine shall now be rewarded, as Jackman has recently broken his sacred vow by creating a savage commercial for Reynold's Aviation Gin.
In a new video posted to Twitter, we see the Deadpool and Wolverine actors sitting together in a studio. He can be heard saying to Reynolds, who appeared to have walked off set, "Say hi to [wife] Blake [Lively], man". Jackman explains that the two have declared "a truce" over their recent spats on social media and, as a show of good faith, decided to make commercials for Aviation Gin (owned by Reynolds) and Laughing Man Coffee (owned by Jackman).
"And "Hugh" could be behind such a Hugh-roic company?"
"Wow, man, that was really professional", Jackman tells Reynolds after the commercial wraps. I personally love the dejected look in Reynold's eyes when he confesses to Jackman that his ad for Laughing Man cofee cost $1 million dollars to produce. Reynolds plays up the heroic person behind the company, Hugh Jackman, and even highlights that portions of the profits go to charitable causes. Jackman then says "I'm not quite ready to show mine yet, let's just cut it there".
Superhero fans have been riveted by the off-screen rivalry between Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool) and Hugh Jackman (Wolverine).
"Ryan Reynolds is a real f***ing a**hole", he says, adding, after a long pause, "The gin's pretty great though".
Jackman then opens the bottle and lays it on its side on the table, letting the gin flow out of the bottle onto the table.
After this, we think the feud is back on.
"Sorry, man", Jackman tells him.
