The New York Daily News had reported that some in Pacquiao's camp feared he had suffered a potentially career-threatening detached retina in beating Broner to retain the World Boxing Association "regular" welterweight world title - the lesser of two WBA welterweight belts to that of unbeaten U.S. "super champion" Keith Thurman.
Pacquiao showed swelling below his left eye when leaving the ring after the victory Saturday night and attended the postfight news conference wearing dark glasses.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a burglary was reported Sunday at 4:15 p.m.at a residence on the 500 block of North Plymouth Boulevard - where Pacquiao has a home.
He said suspects ransacked the location and took property, and that nobody was home at the time.
A spokesman for Pacquiao spoke to NBC News and confirmed that the boxer was robbed. "No other info is being released right now".
Pacquiao outclassed the 29-year-old Broner with a unanimous decision after Judge Dave Moretti scored the fight 117-111, while Judges Tim Cheatham and Glen Feldman both scored 116-112 in favor of the senator, who now has a record of 61 wins with 39 knockouts.
Pacquiao again made public his desire to face Mayweather for a sequel, following his convincing win over Broner in Pacquiao's Las Vegas return.
