Meghan Markle Is Reportedly ‘Miserable’ Being A Royal

Meghan's patronages: Duchess of Sussex's four new causes revealed

Meghan made patron of National Theatre

"The Duchess of Sussex will become Patron of four organisations that reflect the causes and issues with which she has always been associated including the arts, access to education, support for women and animal welfare", the tweet read.

Information about Her Royal Highness taking on the National Theatre role was accidentally leaked yesterday on the organisation's website.

Meghan will become Patron of The National Theatre and The Association of Commonwealth Universities.

Queen Elizabeth has passed two of her long-held patronages onto her granddaughter-in-law: The National Theatre (fitting for the former actress!) and The Association of Commonwealth Universities, in support of more accessible education across Commonwealth countries.

Meghan's first sole royal patronages will champion education, women's employment and animal welfare.

Kensington Palace confirmed Meghan would be visiting the Smart Works today, and will be making public visits to the other three organisations over the coming weeks.

The former Suits star began her day at Smart Works, a United Kingdom charity that helps unemployed women regain the confidence they need to return to the workforce.

Markle, 37, who is pregnant and expecting this spring, also revealed that she's been working with Smart Works for months now.

And it turns out, Meghan had a clever trick up her sleeve to check she was looking her best throughout the day - since her Victoria Beckham handbag has a sizeable mirror concealed inside it!

To top it off, Markle was clearly having tons of fun with the styling portion, laughing and cradling her baby bump as she pulled options for the ladies to try on.

He added: "The Duchess shares our deeply-held conviction that theatre has the power to bring together people from all communities and walks of life".

During her tour of the headquarters, the Duchess spoke to a number of women who worked for, and who had benefited from, the outfitting service.
