CHARGED Home And Away actor Craig Mc Lachlan has been charged with sex offences

Last year, Mr Mclachlan was accused of sexual misconduct by three women who worked with him in 2014 on a production of the Rocky Horror Show.

Prominent actor and the former lead actor of Seven's Doctor Blake Mysteries, Craig McLachlan, has been charged by Victoria Police for a number of indecent assault offences, the ABC is reporting.

McLachlan became a household name in Australia in the mid 1980s when he began playing Henry Ramsay in soap opera Neighours.

He is set to appear in court on February 8 where he will face the charges.

He appeared in Home and Away and numerous other series, and won the Gold Logie award, an annual award for the most popular personality on Australian television.

A spokesperson for the star has strongly denied the claims, telling local media: 'Craig is innocent of these charges which will be vigorously defended'.

Whelan Browne said that while performing a sex scene with McLachlan he inappropriately touched her while on stage.

However, it has not been confirmed whether the charges relate to the Rocky Horror Shows accusations.

More recently, he's starred in The Doctor Blake Mysteries as well as stage musicals.
