Jenas believes Hazard is "too good" for Chelsea

Eden Hazard is too good for Chelsea’ Jermaine Jenas reacts to Blues’ Carabao Cup loss

Eden Hazard is"too good for Chelsea, according to Jermaine Jenas

Former Tottenham star Jermaine Jenas told Eden Hazard he's "too good" to stay at Chelsea after the Belgian's display in the Blues' 1-0 defeat to Spurs on Tuesday.

"I thought Eden Hazard was unplayable".

The Belgium playmaker also helped his country reach the World Cup semi-finals in Russian Federation a year ago, where he won the Silver Ball as the tournament's second best player behind Croatia's Luka Modric.

The Belgium midfielder, whose contract expires in June 2020, has been linked with a summer move to Real Madrid.

Jenas also insisted that Chelsea were the better side on the night and reiterated that Hazard is clearly a level above everybody around him at Chelsea. Arguably the best player in the Premier League.

"He has gone by everybody and he must be thinking, 'what more do you need me to do?'"

'I never thought I would say it, but he's too good for this Chelsea team'.

Hazard to Real Madrid?

Problems in front of goal have not helped Chelsea's cause, with strikers Alvaro Morata (five) and Olivier Giroud (one) both well short of Hazard's 10 goals in the Premier League this season.

"Chelsea were the better side but they didn't really create any chances", Jenas said on BBC Radio 5 live following the game.

"You get the best out of him on the left, doing what he wants to do, dropping into midfield, breaking from deep, running at players".

"Up top, with his back to goal, he is a lot easier to deal with".
