"We want to thank the Douglas Co Sheriff's Department and agencies assisting them tonight", Fitzgerald said Thursday.
Twin Cities TV station KSTP reports Closs was expected to be reunited with her family Thursday evening after being checked out at a Duluth, MN hospital.
Jayme went missing on October 15, when her parents, James and Denise Closs, who worked for Jennie-O Turkey, were both found shot to death in their rural home.
Shortly after she was found, a suspect in the case was taken into custody. "Jayme has been found!", Kroeze posted.
Jayme Closs, whose parents, aged 56 and 46, were discovered shot in their family home past year, was located on Thursday evening, police said. Some tips led officials to recruit 2,000 volunteers for a massive ground search on October 23.
It is not immediately clear where or how Jayme was found. Barron County Sheriff's Office plans on holding a press briefing Friday morning.
She was rescued nine months later with the help of two witnesses who recognized her abductors from an America's Most Wanted episode. "We do not any other details at this time as this is a very fluid and active investigation".
"I have a gut feeling she's (Jayme's) still alive".
"There was a lot of discouragement because this took quite a while to play out", Mr Fladten said.
"We are just happy everyone kept praying and didn't give up home like we didn't", Jayme's aunt, Jennifer Smith, told ABC News.
Detectives have pursued thousands of tips, watched dozens of surveillance videos and spent countless hours searching for Closs in the months since her disappearance, but their efforts have not yielded a suspect or suspects.
He acknowledged that Jayme may not be the same person she was before she disappeared.
Both Jayme and Denise have been described as quiet, kind, religious and giving, an example of how a loving mom raised her daughter with her own good values.
An ongoing criminal investigation is underway at a location in Walworth County.
