When she's not saving the world, Kim's an everyday high schooler, she's late for class and going toe-to-toe with her frenemy, Bonnie (Erika Tham).
According to Disney Channel, Kim Possible kicks off when "Kim and her best friend and sidekick, Ron Stoppable (Sean Giambrone), start Middleton High School, where Kim must navigate an intimidating new social hierarchy". There, the dynamic duo meet Athena, a Kim Possible super-fan who Kim transforms into the newest member of Team Possible. Soon, Athena starts to eclipse Kim just as the nefarious Drakken and Shego (Todd Stashwick and Taylor Ortega) resurface in Middleton with a master plan to finally stop Kim.
Newcomer Sadie Stanley will play the real-life version of Kim Possible, who was played in the original animated series by Christy Carlson Romano (Even Stevens, Cadet Kelly).
The script will be written by Kim Possible creators Mark McCorkle and Bob Schooley (Big Hero 6: The Series, The Penguins of Madagascar), and Josh Cagan (The DUFF, Bandslam). Now it's up to Team Possible - Kim, Ron, tech-genius Wade (Issac Ryan Brown), new friend Athena and Rufus, a naked mole-rat that Ron meets along the way - to stop these super villains. McCorkle, Schooley and Zanne Devine (I, Tonya, Easy A) serve as executive producers. The movie was co-directed and co-produced by Adam B. Stein and Zach Lipovsky (MECH X-4).
The cast also features Alyson Hannigan as Kim's Mom, Dr. Ann Possible; and Connie Ray as Kim's grandmother, Nana Possible.
The original animated series ran from 2002 to 2007 on the Disney Channel and was both a ratings hit and a critical and awards darling.
