The Boca Raton, Florida native was likely referencing her romantic life: She was involved with the late Mac Miller from September 2016 until their split this past May; months before his fatal overdose in September from alcohol, cocaine and fentanyl.
"Thank you so much for coming to my Quinceanera, I appreciate it", joked Grande, admitting she felt "completely undeserving" of the Woman of the Year title. I'm just saying that because I think a lot of people would look at someone in my position right now ... and think, 'She's really got her s- together, ' ya know?
"I do, but as far as my personal life goes, I really have no idea what the fuck I am doing".
Ariana Grande is reflecting on what she calls the best and worst year of her life.
She continued: "So yeah... it's been a very conflicting one, and I just want to say that if you're someone out there who has no idea what this next chapter is going to bring, you're not alone in that".
Grande said she was not looking for sympathy, but wanted to be open about her struggles to comfort others who might be going through hard times.
"I look forward to hopefully learning to give some of the love and forgiveness that I have given away so frivolously and easily to men in the past to myself, hopefully, this year", she stated earning her a big applause from the crowd.
