The Hindi version of the film opened at Rs 20.25 crore and has maintained a good pace even during the weekdays. On Wednesday, the film raked in Rs 9.50 crore, which goosed up its total to Rs 132 crore in India.
Helmed by Shankar, 2.0 is the sequel to 2010 blockbuster Enthiran, in which Rajinikanth reprises his roles of scientist Dr Vaseegaran and his creation robot Chitti while Akshay Kumar, who made his Kollywood debut with this film, joins the cast as villainous ornithologist Dr Richards. In Hindi alone, 2.0 is by far the eighth biggest hit of 2018 and has bagged over Rs 132 crore in the first seven days of business.
