The Philadelphia 76ers point guard was diagnosed with neurogenic thoracic outlet syndrome, according to his agent, who says the nerve injury affected Fultz's shooting. Thoracic outlet syndrome involves compression or irritation in the thoracic outlet (area between lower neck and upper chest).
Sources tell Adrian Wojnarowski that there is optimism that Fultz could return in three to six weeks. In 15 starts and 19 appearances, Fultz is averaging just 8.2 points per game while attempting only 14 3-pointers all year.
Despite the youngster's well-documented injury issues, Stephen A. Smith went on to suggest that Fultz's problems go much further than the shoulder injury that is now keeping him sidelined.
Ever since he was drafted No. 1 overall, Fultz has dealt with issues.
