Hootie and the Blowfish will make Cleveland stop on new tour

Lead singer Darius Rucker is taking a break from his successful country music career to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Hootie & the Blowfish's smash debut album, "Cracked Rear View".

The pop band, known for hits such as "Hold My Hand" and "Let Her In", will perform as part of its "Group Therapy Tour" at the AMP in Rogers on Sunday, July 14, 2019 as part of the Cox Concert Series, the AMP announced on Monday (Dec. 3).

Mark Bryan, Dean Felber, Darius Rucker and Jim "Soni" Sonefeld first formed Hootie years ago when they were students at the University of SC.

Hootie & the Blowfish will go on tour for the first time since 2008, including a stop in The Woodlands at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion on June 14, 2019. In addition, tickets may be purchased at the State Fairgrounds Ticket Office during a limited-time opening from 10 a.m.to 1 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 7.

Hootie & the Blowfish is back and bringing some new music to central Indiana.

"Having those shows at fraternity houses, clubs and dive bars under our belt prepared us for success to a degree", Felber said. "I've seen you tour 5 times". They go on sale Friday. "We've never stopped being a band".
