The Agoura Hills set used to film the HBO series "Westworld" was destroyed Friday in the Woolsey Wildfire.
- The iconic Paramount Ranch Western Town, which has been used as the filming location for countless movies and television shows over the years, burned Friday in the Woolsey Fire, according to Santa Monica Mountain officials.
Established by Paramount Pictures in 1927, the ranch hosted such productions as TV's Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman, Weeds, The Mentalist, Quickdraw and HBO's Great Depression-set mystery drama Carnivàle.
Westworld has also had scenes shot at Melody Ranch in Santa Clarita, and other locations, including Utah as well.
"This is eerie. So sad for the history lost". In a statement to The Hollywood Reporter, the network said, "Westworld is not now in production, and as the area has been evacuated, we do not yet know the extent of the damage to any structures remaining there".
