What Dez Bryant signing with the Saints means for fantasy football owners

Colin Cowherd explained Wednesday on FS1 why Bryant should send a thank you note to Patriots wide receiver Josh Gordon upon signing with the Saints. I got to hook up with him a couple of weeks back, and I saw the way he looked and he was - he looks like an animal right now. Getting revenge on the Dallas Cowboys would just be an added bonus. "He'll be a great addition".

According to both the NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Jane Slater, Bryant has agreed to a one-year deal with the New Orleans Saints. That after Bryant's play for the previous three years had failed to match his massive contract. "I'm happy for Dez. I don't know all the dynamics", Watson said. "I know it's important to him".

Bryant, who turned 30 on Sunday, has been a free agent since he was released by Dallas in April.

"It's big for him, man", Crawford said, via PFT. "If somebody's new, you have a clean slate and you embrace that person because now they're your teammate".

Immediately Bryant jumps onto the depth chart as the Saints' second-best receiver behind Michael Thomas, meaning for the first time in his career, Bryant won't be relied on as a No.1 receiver. He previously met with the Browns and Ravens.

The contract is only for the rest of this season, which likely includes a playoff run as the Saints have the second best record in the NFC at 7-1. Just two years ago New Orleans finished top three in all of these categories, and now that they have.

The Saints also have yet to receive consistent production from Cameron Meredith, a former Chicago receiving leader who was acquired in free agency, but who also is trying to come back from major knee surgery that wiped out his 2017 campaign.

Bryant's return to the National Football League with the Saints means he could play against his former club in a few weeks.

Bryant's chance for revenge will come soon as the Saints will face the Cowboys in three weeks on FOX's Thursday Night Football on November 29.

"Not at all. Ever since I got here, Dez was nothing but a help for me", Elliott said. "I think he's going to be a good veteran for that team". "He's definitely a special player and I'm glad he got picked up and I'm glad something worked out for him".
