While both of Apple's 2018 fall product events came and went without so much as a mention about the company's truly wireless AirPods update, we know with near certainty (based on a litany of patents, reports and corroborations) that Cupertino is now at an advanced stage of developing AirPods 2. Besides this, it's being said that they will offer improved battery backup and better range of operation. There is a new AirPods device with model numbers A2031 and A2032 that has apparently been listed since November 1.
The latest leak comes days after Apple updated a trademark filing in Hong Kong and Europe that references its AirPods wireless earbuds. In it, he cited supply-chain sources who suggested Apple's next-generation AirPods 2 would feature an array of built-in "wellness sensors" - such as for monitoring heart rate, VO2 levels, pulse and more. The filings also hinted at some experiences specifically for Apple Watch users.
Here, Class 10 covers wellness instruments such as health, fitness, exercise sensors to measure, track, store and report, biometric data, body movement, heart rate and calories burned.
Interestingly, the earbuds might come with a new health sensing technology, which is more aligned to Apple's greater vision.
