Javad Zarif arrives in the country.

The visit of Prime Minister Khan to China will be instrumental in elevating the all-weather strategic cooperative partnership between Pakistan and China to new heights.

Iranian official media reported earlier that heading a politico-military delegation, Zarif will be "kept abreast of the measures Pakistan government has adopted for security and release of Iranian border guards", who were kidnapped earlier this month.

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif expressed his condolences yesterday, together with prayers, for all the victims of the shooting in the Jewish community of Pittsburgh, in the United States, and their families.

He also praised Turkey and Azerbaijan for supporting the 2015 nuclear deal, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, after the US withdrawal in May. He stated that frequent high-level exchanges between the two countries manifested the warmth in bilateral relations.

Pakistan and Iran have underscored the need to promote bilateral relations in all areas including political, economic and defence cooperation.

He said that Ankara is holding consultations with the European countries to find ways to continue cooperation with Iran.

The Iranian foreign finister reiterated that Pakistan-Iran relations were deep-rooted in complete trust and solidarity. The visit will further strengthen the close and warm ties between the two brotherly countries, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

Shah Mehmood Qureshi emphasized that this objective can only be achieved through better communication, mutual trust and understanding.
