Man Invokes Trump Defense After Allegedly Groping Woman During Houston Flight

According to a criminal complaint filed in U.S. District Court in Albuquerque, Alexander grabbed the woman sitting in front of him near her "bra line".

Witnesses on board said they saw the woman stand up and tell the man behind her that she didnt know why he thought it was okay to touch her. About half an hour later, she felt fingers grab the back of her arm, then "slowly and "attentively" grope her right side", near her bra line again. The woman told him he needed to stop and she asked for a different seat, the witnesses said.

The woman, identified only as C.W.in the complaint, fell asleep after she got on the plane, she said.

Bruce Michael Alexander, 49, of Tampa, is facing one federal count of abusive sexual contact, reports KOAT.

When the plane landed in Albuquerque, Alexander was arrested.

"On Sunday, airline supervisors and local law enforcement officers met flight 5421 upon its arrival in Albuquerque from Houston after allegations of inappropriate behavior by a passenger inflight". The president has referred to undocumented immigrants as "animals", and in at least two separate instances, has claimed Mexico sends "rapists" to the US.

Authorities said Alexanders hands and physical description resembled the information provided by the woman passenger.e_SClBHe was placed in handcuffs and asked about the sentence for the charge he faces. As he was leaving the courthouse, Merlino said Trump "was right" and flippers need to be outlawed, according to the Guardian.

Alexander was questioned by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and told them he could not recall touching the woman and was asleep most of the flight. Alexander told agents he did remember a woman he was seated behind speaking to him during the flight and then moving seats, but could not describe her.

The man denied the groping, but also said it was OK because US President Donald Trump said so.

Flight attendants later reseated the female passenger.

This is the second such incident involving Albuquerque in the past week.

Alexander remains in custody pending a preliminary hearing and a detention hearing scheduled for Tuesday.
