Queens organization raises funds for breast cancer patients

The Cancer Care Specialist with the Ministry of Health and Wellness, Dr. Owen Gabriel, encourages women particularly during breast cancer awareness month, to get screened for breast cancer.

The Thomasville and Davidson County communities are invited to support the initiative by purchasing pink ribbons for $1 each in honor or memory of a loved one.

For many, including Cydnee Greathouse, who are either fighting breast cancer or have survived it, the event has become an important part in the recovery process.

"Every year around 62,000 people are diagnosed with breast cancer in the United Kingdom so there's never been such an urgent need for our support".

The efforts of Novant Health's foundations inspire giving that supports programs and initiatives having direct patient impact. It is a yearly campaign that intend educate people about the importance of early screening, test and more.
