The Apple iPhone XS Max, due in Australia on September 21, will feature major upgrades to its display, its speed, its cameras, and even its colour, but it will cost Australian buyers more than $2000 for the first time, breaking last year's record price for the iPhone X by more than $500.
The starting price for Apple Watch Series 4 is around RMB 3199.
For imaging duties, both iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max come with a dual rear camera setup - comprising of a 12MP wide-angle lens with f/1.8 aperture and a 12MP telephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture.
The iPhone XS Max will sell for about $1,100, or $100 more than last year's iPhone X. The iPhone XR will use cheaper materials and sell for about $750.
While iPhone sales have slowed, Apple profits have risen along with the average purchase price of its handsets.
Apple's newest iPhone will again test the limits of how much people are willing to pay for the latest technology. It's branded as the "Liquid Retina" display (the iPhone XS is a "super retina", if you're keeping track), and measures 6.1 inches edge to edge.
The iPhone XS looks on paper to be a modest upgrade to the iPhone X, packing in a newer, faster chipset, more storage and other minor upgrades, but keeping the design much the same.
The Cupertino tech giant also revealed a smaller iPhone XS, and a budget model dubbed the iPhone XR at its launch event, held on its spaceship-shaped campus inside the Steve Jobs Theatre.
While some expect a $699 price for the iPhone 9, Goldman Sachs analyst Rod Hall sees as much as $849, a significant bump for a mid-range device.
As well, buyers get up to one-and-a-half hours of additional runtime per charge versus the iPhone 8 Plus, according to Apple, offering overall better battery life.
Bar the camera and screen, the rest of the specifications are largely the same as the XS and XS Max.
It's a busy night for Apple with the USA technology firm hosting a major launch event at its headquarters in Cupertino. And it has the same A12 Bionic processor inside, so will support all the same new features. The new watch, positioned as a more comprehensive health device, will be able to detect an irregular heartbeat and start an emergency call automatically if it detects a user falling down, potentially appealing to older customers.
The album went to Number 3 in the U.S. charts and was nominated for Best Dance/Electronic Album at that year's GRAMMYs.
At a minimum, this would require ToF sensors with adequate range, 5G connectivity for AR glasses and also a "more powerful Apple Map database".
