Almost $900 million is up for grabs in nationwide lottery drawings this weekend. It was the 22nd consecutive draw without anyone matching all six numbers.
Mega Millions' record haul was a $656 million jackpot shared by people in three states in 2012.
Friday's winning numbers numbers were 4-24-46-61-70 and a Mega Ball of 7.
The estimated $654 million total is the second-highest in the game's history.
Meanwhile, Powerball, which will be drawn on Saturday, has climbed to $314 million. The odds of winning are about 300 million-to-1. Powerball has yielded no winners since August 11.
The $548 million jackpot refers to the annuity option, paid out over 29 years. Odds of winning are about 292 million-to-1.
