50 Cent

The rapper turned producer has just signed a huge, multi-series deal with the company that will see Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson continue to develop and produce content for the network through his G-Unit production company.

Under the new deal, which includes a three series commitment, the addition of a dedicated development executive accompanied by a discretionary fund for use in developing G-Unit projects, Jackson will also have access to the full breadth of the Starz and Lionsgate platforms, including access to additional distribution channels and input into the merchandising and licensing of G-Unit developed brands and content.

50 Cent executive produces Power, which has smashed about the majority of the system's viewership records on its approach to turning into Starz's most famous show ever.

In addition to his hit series of "Power", 50 Cent is now developing two new projects with Starz: "Black Mafia Family" and "Vanguard".

"When I sat down with [Starz CEO Chris Albrecht] and walked him through my plans for G-Unit Film & Television going forward, he let me know I was essentially requesting the biggest deal in premium cable history", Jackson said. The deal represents a significant increase to Starz's investment in Jackson, executive producer of drama series "Power". I am excited to announce that we've made that partnership between myself, G-Unit Film & Television and Starz/Lionsgate and we will continue our proven track record of breaking records and delivering unique content for audiences around the world....

According to reports, Fif will work with Starz to put out at least three new series. "We're pleased to expand our relationship and consider this the beginning of many new and exciting ventures to come". Power, which is gearing up for its sixth season, has proved to be a huge hit, averaging 7.3 million viewers per episode throughout its five-season run so far.

Power is now in production on its sixth season.

50 hasn't commented directly on his deal but he has posted many of his film credits to Instagram like Get Rich or Die Tryin, Twelve, Fire With Fire, Den of Thieves and Southpaw.
