In an interview with ABC News, excerpts of which were broadcast early Friday, the USA first lady did not deny her husband's alleged history of philandering.
"I'm a mother and a first lady, and I have much more important things to think about and to do", she told ABC News when asked whether President Trump's alleged straying has put a strain on their marriage.
"It's not a concern and focus of mine", she responded calmly.
"Yes, we are fine", she said of her marriage.
"I give him my honest advice and honest opinions, and then he does what he wants to do", she said.
Donald Trump, on the 2005 "Access Hollywood" tape that became public during the 2016 campaign, says when he's attracted to beautiful women, "I just start kissing them".
Melania, Trump's third wife, was pregnant with son Barron at the time. That one was too easy: "I don't know; you have to ask him", the First Lady replied.
'It's what media speculate, and its gossip. Trump has acknowledged reimbursing Cohen but denied the affair. "It's not always correct stuff", she said.
After a pause, the first lady admitted it's "not always pleasant" when the media speculates about her marriage but she knows the truth behind the rumors.
Llamas asked her if she's been hurt.
Melania explained her goal for "Be Best" is to educate children using social media on "social emotional behavior so when they grow up they know how to deal with those issues".
Melania Trump later added: "I'm very strong, and I know what my priorities are".
But the first lady brushed aside the former New York City mayor's remarks.
