With the first poster now out in the wild, it shouldn't be long before we get a glimpse at those Arabian nights in a trailer - and the film is set to hit United Kingdom cinemas on 24 May. As we all know, Aladdin is that diamond in the rough. But, as the poster warns, Aladdin can't get carried away in attempting to win over Jasmine; he must "choose wisely" when making his three wishes with Genie. Will also shared the poster on his Facebook page and wrote, "LEMME OUT!"
Fans will have to wait until next May to truly see what Ritchie has in store for the remake. HollywoodLife actually saw the first footage of the film back at CinemaCon in April 2018. Naomi and Mena looked ideal as Princess Jasmine and Aladdin. The 1992 hit could be credited, at least in part, with the kick-off a new brand of Disney animated film: one armed with celebrity voice actors, snappier songs, and a sharp and savvy-albeit anachronistic-sense of humor.
Ever since Tim Burton's Alice In Wonderland cracked the $1 billion dollar mark at the worldwide box office in 2010, Disney has gone on a frenzy of remaking live-action films to quite a bit of success.
According to The Hollywood Report, the "Aladdin" cast list also includes Mena Massoud (Aladdin), Naomi Scott (Jasmine), Marwan Kenzari (Jafar) and Billy Magnussen and Nasim Pedrad as Jasmine's friends.
