#HimToo trend backfires badly after proud mom's tweet

Navy veteran sets the record straight after his mother inaccurately turns him into face of #HimToo

Pieter Hanson said his mother's tweet"doesn't represent him

"He graduated #1 in boot camp", she continued.

In the photo, Pieter, a Navy vet and University of Central Florida student, is dressed in his white Navy uniform, with one foot propped up on a bench. Also, Twitter, your meme game is on point'.

"I still love her".

The woman, who, according to her other son, had tried setting the sailor up with a girlfriend, included some politically charged statements in her post.

A mother has been ridiculed for posting a tweet in which she claimed her son did not go on solo dates over fears of "false sexual accusations".

Marla posted the now-deleted tweet on the day Brett Kavanaugh was confirmed to the U.S. Supreme Court, after a confirmation process that featured accusations of sexual misconduct.

"This is MY son", his mom wrote in a tweet on Saturday that's now deleted but lives on in screengrabs.

Ultimately Hanson felt he had to create a post of his own on Twitter to respond to the #HimToo hubbub. Pieter also apparently was not afraid to date.

Sure enough, something bad had happened indeed: His mom accidentally turned him into a viral Twitter meme.

One woman calling herself @living_marble shared a snap of Norman Bates, the fictional motel owner from thriller Psycho, who is driven to murder by his overbearing mother.

He told The Washington Post that he was so angry about the tweet that he couldn't even talk to his mom about it. "It has become a way for people, often conservatives, to express their support for men who they believe have been falsely accused of sexual assault or harassment".

But the latest adaptation of #HimToo and the way that it was used in Hanson's mom's tweet is a counter punch to the #MeToo movement. He was awarded the USO award. He was #1 in A school. He is a gentleman who respects women.

Pieter Hanson's mother accidentally rocketed her son and his cats to internet stardom with a single emphatic tweet over the weekend.

Hanson has since started using his internet fame for good causes, such as raising awareness for the Make a Wish Foundation, non-Hodgkin lymphoma research and posting pictures of his two cats, Chalupa and Monkey.

"My brother is trending on twitter because of my moms ridiculous tweet", he wrote. I'm a mixture of laughing hard and feeling band for him.

Pieter also said that also he was upset, he still loved his mum.

"I'm trying to use this as an avenue to raise awareness for my little brother".
