Christian Eriksen is nearly certain to miss Denmark's games over the global break as he continues to recover from an abdominal injury.
Eriksen sustained an abdominal injury in Tottenham's 2-1 victory against Brighton & Hove Albion on September 22 and has since missed fixtures against Watford, Huddersfield Town, Barcelona and Cardiff City.
Following the Uefa Nations League match against the Republic of Ireland, the Danes host Austria on 16 October.
'It is doubtful whether we will bring him to Dublin and make him play. I don't think Tottenham are very interested in that. It's been over a week and I know he's known about this problem for a while.
"Such an injury can be chronic, and it is true that Tottenham also fears that", said Hareide, according to Denmark's Canal 9.
"I hope it won't happen to Christian".
It remains to be seen if they're capable of living without him and still challenging at the top of the league, although similarly, we simply don't know exactly how long Eriksen will be out for.
