Balabhaskar, wife Lakshmi and driver Arjun have been admitted to a hospital in the city with critical injuries.
The two-year-old daughter of noted violinist Balabhaskar was killed while the musician and his wife were injured when the auto they were travelling in rammed into a roadside tree at Pallippuram on Tuesday.
Tragically, the couple was returning from a visit to a temple in Thrissur for thanksgiving prayers for their daughter; little Tejaswini Bala was born after 15 years of marriage, according to sources close to the family. While the musician and his wife are now in a critical condition in a private hospital, their two-year-old daughter Tejaswi passed away, as per multiple preliminary reports.
The vehicle reportedly rammed into a tree and now Balabhaskar along with his wife and driver has been admitted to the hospital. The Mangalapuram police told The News Minute, "We assume that the driver dozed off, which caused the accident". Soon, Highway police were alerted, and they rushed to the scene.
Balabhaskar and Lakshmi are reported to be in a critical condition at present and are receiving treatment from doctors. Balabhaskar has been admitted to the intensive care unit with multiple injuries.
Balabhaskar is one of the popular musicians and is known for her stage performances.
Later, Balabhaskar became the heartthrob of music lovers after he started working with fusion scores.
