The Cleveland Browns receive the opening kick after the New York Jets won the coin toss and deferred to the second half.

The Cleveland Browns have come tantalizingly close to their first win since 2016 in two consecutive weeks, tying the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 1 and losing in the final minutes last week against the New Orleans Saints.

The Browns and their 19-game winless streak are square in the national spotlight on Thursday when they host the Jets in a primetime game that the Browns are actually favored to win, which nearly never happens, The last time the Browns were favored to win a home game came in December 2015, but this game will mark the first time the Browns have been favored to win at home under Hue Jackson.

Cleveland has had their offseason additions step up with Pro Bowl wide receiver lead the way with 12 catches for 175 receiving yards while running back Carlos Hyde has tallied 105 rushing yards on 38 carries with a pair of touchdowns.

The Browns have been preparing for Thursday night's game all week, after they changed kickers on Monday and also traded wide receiver Josh Gordon.

Backup running back Duke Johnson Jr. could see playing time behind Hyde. Plus, there's one thing that can be said for the Browns: they're due. But, again, it's Thursday night.
