Gianfranco Zola's reaction to Eden Hazard's performance for Chelsea v Cardiff

Chelsea's Maurizio Sarri Offers John Terry A Chance To Come 'Home'

Sarri Concedes Chelsea Not Title Contenders This Season

Maurizio Sarri has confirmed that he has decided who will replace Gary Cahill as Chelsea captain, but opted against revealing who it will be during his pre-Cardiff City press conference.

- Chelsea have won their opening five games to a Premier League season for the fourth time after 2005-06, 2009-10 and 2010-11 - more than any other team in the competition.

Olivier Giroud, the perennial supersub, took up a starting role for Chelsea this afternoon as the Blues came from behind to beat Cardiff 4-1 at the Bridge.

Sol Bamba shocked the Blues with Cardiff's first away goal of the season, but Eden Hazard's treble and a late goal by Willian ensured victory for the West London club.

Responding to his manager's desire for more goals, Hazard said: 'The manager just wants Chelsea to keep the ball, and then when we can find a solution we need to find good passes between the lines, like Jorginho, Kovacic and Fabregas can do. "I think that he can spend less energy than now at 50 or 60 metres to the opposite goal". Since then, Eden Hazard has made more than 250 appearances for the Blues scoring almost ninety goals and has even managed to win two Premier League titles, even being named in the Premier League team of the year on four separate occasions. "So his actions, it shows he spends a lot of energies, and can have more energy in the last 25 metres".

The boss thinks he wastes too much energy in the defensive half of the pitch. "I think that at this moment Liverpool and Manchester City are another step [ahead] than us". I am very open with him because he is the history of the club. To close that gap in only one season is very hard.

"We knew they were unsafe on the set-pieces and we are not ready to answer".
