It was not a fairy tale, but a rescue on a Minnesota lake did involve a rainbow unicorn.
"Yes, a rainbow unicorn", the Chisago County Sheriff's Office wrote in a tweet.
One of the deputies hoisted a rope to the women, while the other recorded a video clip of the rescue, which was later shared on social media.
The Chisago County Sheriff's Office announced on Twitter that the two officers made the discovery as they drove along Fish Lake, located near Stark, Minnesota, when they found the five women on the large, inflatable unicorn.
KMSP-TV reports the deputies pulled their squad auto over and asked the women for a photo, but noticed the raft was stuck in weeds.
The agency said in a subsequent post that the rescue of the unicorn showed they were an "equal opportunity help provider".
