Honor has partnered with Amazon where the device will sell exclusively, and for promotions, Honor has joined hands with Audi to promote the "crazy fast" insane smart' campaign for Honor Play and Audi for R8 LMS. Coming to the pricing, the Honor Play with 4GB & 6GB RAM costs Rs 19,999 and Rs 23,999 respectively. The launch kicks off at 11:45AM today, and the Huawei sub-brand will be live streaming the entire event online. Another highlight is GPU Turbo technology, which was launched with the smartphone at its China launch event, said to increase performance by up to 60 percent while reducing battery consumption by up to 30 percent. Unlike several other Honor smartphones, the new Honor Play comes with a metal unibody design. The new phone was teased many times before this and notably had already started selling in China before this, another special edition of the phone with laser etched back is also retailing in the mainland. Both go on sale via Amazon India and the HiHonorStore from Monday itself, starting 4pm IST.
The dual-SIM (Nano) Honor Play runs EMUI 8.2, based on Android 8.1 Oreo. It is powered by the top-end Huawei HiSilicon Kirin 970 SoC (four Cortex-A73 cores clocked at 2.36GHz and four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.8GHz), that's coupled either 4GB or 6GB of RAM, depending on the variant purchased.

On the camera front, the smartphone will pack a dual AI-based camera set up on the rear with a primary sensor of 16-megapixel and secondary sensor of 2-megapixel. Connectivity options on this device include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac dual-band, Bluetooth 4.2 Low Energy, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, NFC, USB Type-C, and Dual 4G VoLTE. The device measures 157.91 x 74.27 x 7.48 mm and weighs 176 grams. It bears a fingerprint rear on the rear panel. It is powered by a 3750mAh battery.
