But the short statement, coupled with Guilfoyle's departure, which did not provide her an opportunity to say goodbye to her audience, prompted questions about the terms in which she left the network.

A person familiar with the plans who was not authorized to speak publicly about them said Guilfoyle will be joining America First PAC, which has been promoting Trump's record. She has been a legal analyst and host, including for the show "The Five".

"I'm excited to remain at Fox News Channel, a place I have called home for many years, and to continue my role as co-host of The Five", she said at the time.

Similarly, CNN Money also claims that two people close to the situation have confirmed that Guilfoyle will leave her Fox News post to join her boyfriend, Donald Trump Jr., hitting the road on the campaign trail for the 2018 midterm elections.

As IJR previously noted, Trump Jr. confirmed his relationship with Guilfoyle during an event in Montana. "It doesn't get prettier than this", Trump Jr. said, alongside pictures of Guilfoyle. She was considered for White House press secretary past year after Sean Spicer departed the administration.

Neither Guilfoyle nor a spokesperson for America First Policies immediately responded to requests for comment Friday morning.
