The Portland Trail Blazers are awarded the 2018 Summer League Championship Trophy after the game against the Los Angeles Lakers during the 2018 Las Vegas Summer League on July 17, 2018 at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.

He did post a team-high 12 points but he shot just 3-of-12 in the 91-73 loss and was ejected with less than five minutes to go as he argued with officials.

In his second season with the Lakers, Hart went into the summer wanting to "dominate" summer league with a well-rounded game.

Hart scored 37 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead the Lakers to a semifinal win. With the Lakers landing LeBron James and making a few other additions, there's a new era in Los Angeles as the team hopes to return to glory.

In the team's performance against the Detroit Pistons, James sat courtside and was visibly enthused by Hart's play, even chatting with the second-year guard on the sideline.

Forward Caleb Swanigan leads the Summer League in rebounds (11.0), while Wade Baldwin IV is first in assists (7.7). Most Valuable Player Josh Hart had a Least Valuable Player type of game. Lakers guard Josh Hart proved that he is ready to make a big jump next season after he was named as the Las Vegas Summer League Most Valuable Player. When specifically asked about this, he said that he had worked really hard on his ball-handling abilities and shooting off the dribble. He's playing unbelievable in Las Vegas. They signed Rajon Rondo, JaVale McGee and Lance Stephenson instead. Wade Baldwin and Jake Layman really hadn't done much on the National Basketball Association stage.
