If you're in the United Kingdom, you can test the feature out for yourself on desktop, mobile browsers, or the Google Search app by simply typing in "jobs near me" or by searching for a more specific field, such as "healthcare jobs". With Google Search's ease of use and enormous reach, it could now be much easier for Brits to find their dream vocation. Google also said it will be publishing open documentation for all job providers, showing how their openings can be shown in the search engine.

With this new tool, Google's starting small.

Google first introduced job searches in the USA last year, before embarking on a wider launch which took in countries including India and South Africa, which gained the ability to search for jobs earlier this year. There are links to the sites on which you can apply for each role, and they come from a broad range of job listing services.

Some of the sites providing listings to the service include Guardian Jobs, Haymarket, Totaljobs.com, LinkedIn, Glassdoor and CV-Library.

The tool that has now launched in the United Kingdom is nearly identical to the U.S. version, only the United Kingdom one sorts through positions posted by recruiters located in the same country.

There are also options to save positions and set up alerts for future job openings.

Speaking to the Daily Mirror, Mark Rhodes, the director of marketing at job-hunting website Reed, said: "Jobseekers arriving at Reed.co.uk via this new search experience are application-ready, with a high level of intent, so we anticipate seeing a positive impact on the quality and volume of applications we supply to our recruitment clients".
