Prosecutors in Los Angeles are reviewing an allegation of sexual assault which has been made against Sylvester Stallone.
A spokesperson for the District Attorney's office in Los Angeles has said that a case has been presented to police in Santa Monica.
"It is under review by our sex crime task force". Details of the case were not released.
The allegation against the star comes in the wake of the #MeToo movement that has focused attention on sexual harassment in Hollywood and beyond. A legal representative for Stallone denied the allegations for a second time on Wednesday.
Santa Monica police said in December they were investigating a complaint that was made in November 2017 regarding an alleged incident of sexual misconduct in the 1990s by the actor. The alleged victim filed a police report in May. Singer also announced that the actor was contemplating pursing charges against the woman - for filing a false police report.
On Wednesday, Singer said the woman's claim is "absurd" and said that Stallone has requested to file a police report alleging that the woman filed a false police report.
The #MeToo campaign took off a year ago following sexual assault allegations against Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein.
