Steven Gerrard has only officially been in the job a few days, yet has now sealed the club's fifth signing of the summer.
RANGERS are poised to finalise a move for defender Connor Goldson within the next 48 hours.
Rangers have been forced to clarify speculation over their new home kit after latest signing Nikola Katic was pictured in an unfamiliar club top. He is a legend of football all over the world and I am glad to be here with him. "It's wonderful and a really good step for me".
Although not part of Croatia's squad for the World Cup squad, 21-year-old Katic earned his first cap for the national side in May of last year in a friendly against Mexico.
"I am the sort of player who likes a duel and in Scotland, the type of football I think is for me. It is good to be here and this is a big step for me", he told RangersTV. There are a lot of long balls and a lot of duels, and that is what I like.
"Rangers needs to be in with the top European clubs, and I will try with the other players to move this club to the top of European football".
Despite the interest from Spartak Moscow, Slaven Belupo sporting director Zvonimir Simunovic says the Croatian minnows wanted to do the deal with Rangers.
Since taking over from Graeme Murty, Gerrard has already organised deals for Scott Arfield, Allan McGregor, Jamie Murphy and Ovie Ejaria for his debut season in senior management.
