In a new interview with Ellen DeGeneres, Hathaway confessed she was self-conscious because "Ocean's 8" was the first movie she'd made after giving birth to her son previous year, and the baby weight was slow to come off. There was plenty to dislike that even original Ghost Busters star/writer Dan Aykroyd didn't have kind words about the reboot.
In the lead-up to the release of the all-female heist movie "Ocean's 8", it had been widely reported that Matt Damon would be one of the "Ocean's" trilogy stars to make a brief cameo. Anne explained to Ellen how her body took some time to lose the baby weight and she's been a different size than she normally is.
Ocean's 8 is not only one of the most anticipated movies of the summer - it's also Sandra Bullock's first movie in almost three years. Why do I feel so (expletive)?
"My advice for those people is just watch the movie ['Ocean's 8'] first and then go on Reddit", Awkwafina said. "You got an a-!'" Hathaway recalled.
"And I, of course, was freaked out and loved it so much, and I was like, "Really?' and she goes, 'You got an ass like me".
"It was hard for me, because I walked with blinders on through life and got to where I [felt] like I was less than because I was a woman".
The actress laughed and said she'd never had an experience like that on set before.
This is likely the reason why Bullock - who's also copped her fair share of stalkers - didn't star in any movies for the last three years prior to Ocean's 8, instead choosing to step aside and focus on her son Louis, 8, and daughter Leila, 6.
"One of the lucky things about being in this business for so long is that I've really come to terms with the pressure that you get to look a certain way as an actress, and I don't beat myself up about that stuff anymore", Hathaway told DeGeneres.
