A woman who was reportedly denied access to the restroom at a Canadian Tim Hortons restaurant on Wednesday made a decision to go anyway - right on the floor in front of staff, customers and a surveillance camera.
The disturbing video was leaked onto the internet Tuesday, and begins with what appears to be a heated argument between a woman and a worker at a cash register.
The woman then picks up her feces and hurls it at staff. She then scoops up the excrement and tosses it over the counter.
Langley RCMP Corp. Holly Largy confirmed that the RCMP received a complaint.
"Our current understanding is that the Team Member used their discretion in this case and denied access to this Guest based on past behaviour and out of concern for the immediate safety of Team Members and Guests in the Restaurant", the statement read, adding that as matters escalated, staff called police.
It's unclear what triggered the incident, but a spokesperson for Tim Hortons said it appears an employee had refused to let the woman into the restaurant's locked restroom.
"We are aware of the video and did attend", said Langley RCMP Cpl.
The BC Prosecution Service will review the circumstances and determine if charges will be laid.
