The University of Louisville football's season opener against Alabama in the 2018 Camping World Kickoff Game has been scheduled for an 8 p.m. ET start on ABC, the Atlantic Coast Conference announced on Wednesday morning.
The game kicks off from Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida on September 1 and will be televised on ABC.
Alabama and Louisville will be meeting for the fourth time in program history with the Crimson Tide holding a 2-1 edge in the series. The last pairing came on January 1, 1991 with the Cardinals claiming a 34-7 win in the Fiesta Bowl in Tempe, Ariz. This is the same timeslot and TV assignment the Crimson Tide got previous year when it opened the season with No. 3 Florida State in Atlanta. The game is expected to be the first start at quarterback for redshirt freshman Jawon Pass, who succeeds Heisman Trophy victor Lamar Jackson, a first-round draft pick of the Baltimore Ravens. The Alabama-Louisville season opener in Orlando has a time and TV assignment.
