The Motorola Moto G6 Play has been priced at $199 (approximately Rs. 13,000 is the price in India), while the Moto G6 is priced at $249 (approximately Rs. 16,500), while the Moto G6 Plus, which has not been confirmed by Motorola India right now has been priced at Euro 299 (approximately Rs. 24,000) in Brazil. However, the exact launch date of the phones is yet to be confirmed by the company.
Motorola India on Twitter has made an announcement specifically towards the Moto G6 and Moto G6 Play, with a tweet going out that both smartphones are going to be launching in India very soon. Moto G6 Play on the other hand is being positioned as an entry-level smartphone from the company. In terms of build and design, both the new Moto phones bring signature Moto design with glass construction taking limelight yet again.
The Moto G6 was launched at a starting price of $249 (roughly Rs. 16,500) while the Moto G6 Play was launched at $199 (roughly Rs. 13,000). We expect Motorola to launch both the models of the phone in India as well.
It sports a 12-megapixel rear camera accompanied with 5-megapixel secondary camera with LED flash.
The Moto G6 features a 5.7-inch Full HD+ (2160x1080 pixels) display which has an aspect ratio of 18:9. The smartphone is driven by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor, clubbed with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage; expandable up to 128GB. The storage can further be expanded up to 256GB via microSD card. On the front, Moto G6 Play and Moto G6 come with an 8-megapixel selfie camera.
The fingerprint sensor finds its home embedded into the chin of the phone and it packs a 3,000mAh battery which supports fast charge. Internationally there are two variants of G6, the 3GB/32GB variant and the 4GB/64GB variant. The smartphone is also available in Gold and Indigo colours. It measures 8.3mm thick and weighs 167 grams. It has a humble 3000mAh battery, but according to Motorola, the battery should last around 24 hours on a single charge. It is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 427 processor. One should feature 2GB of RAM with 16GB storage, while the second one will have 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. On the camera front, there is a 12MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture along with a 5MP front camera. The device will be backed by a 4000mAh battery.
The Moto G6 Play has a 5.7-inch screen but comes with HD resolution.
